The Myth Buster

an eye opener, to say the least

It has been a feeling that one needs a new idea, some great new concept that he would throw at the world and stun everybody to become an entrepreneur.

I myself, was largely under this impression for quite some time. When in college, I had to present a business plan, i thought of exotic plans - fantastic nevertheless, but not so feasible.

On the other hand, I saw somebody with an extremely simple -Plan walk away the winner from a major B-Plan contest. His plan was as simple as this - during the Pujas in Hindu households, a lot of small items are needed which requires one to run around a lot. This guy made redaymade packets of such items, and sold them at a slightly higher price than avalable in the market. An idea that turned out to be superb, yet devastatingly simple.

Now he is an entrepreneur, and is said to be earning millions.
Moral of the story - its the execution which matters more that the plan.
